You probably still tie your shoes the same way that you learned when you were a small child. However there are actually many different types of knots that you can use. In today's video I am going to show you my favorite method, the Parisian knot.

Been using this knot ever since I saw this video about a year ago. I work a blue-collar job with lace up boots and I can tell y'all one thing...this knot is now my go to knot for all my laced shoes and boots. It is everything he claims it to be! This is truly the best knot for tying shoes and boots. I use it for dress shoes, safety toed work boots, and mountaineering boots. It makes taking off your boots easy after a long day at work or in the mountains but is much more secure than a traditional bow knot, which is inadequate for mountaineering as loose boots or untied laces can spell doom for the climber. Never knew it had a name, I just figured it out one day.

I've been doing this for years, thinking I discovered it myself! Works on any type of lace/shoe, and will NOT come untied on its own.

My shoelaces always came untied no matter what knot I tried. A guy showed me a similar knot a few years ago and I've never had a problem having my shoelaces come untied ever again.

My uncle taught me this knot. He learned it in the Marine Corp during Vietnam. I never have to re tie my shoes throughout the day

you can also this by taking the two loops like the bunny ears method and loop both 'ears' through the knot. This was my method, good to know it has a name!
