🧾 How to Scan Long Receipts (Easy Walkthrough)

In this video, show you how to scan long receipts using a desktop scanner. If you have a flatbed scanner, you may be noticing that it’s difficult to scan long receipts. Chances are that the whole receipt won’t fit on the glass surface so you’ll either need to scan the receipt in sections or cut it into pieces to fit it onto the glass. If you’re someone who scans long receipts often or if you want the best scan quality possible, you’ll likely find that using a desktop scanner is a much better way to go.

What if the receipt is too long for long document scan mode? My receipt is about 4 foot and is not completing and I get error it is over 360.

Thanks a lot for this tip. It is weird that with the new software you have to do that. In the old scansnap manager, I could juste press once and it would scan every lenght automatically.

On the 1600, you can set up different scan profiles that show up on the touch screen on the front, right? Wondering if you can set up one that is specifically for receipts that would put it in long-document mode without having to hold the button. Not that it's terribly inconvenient to hold the button.

I have a color brochure that is 24 inches x 6 inches, printed both sides. I tried the press-and-hold method on my iX1600, but I only got a black & white copy of one side (which makes sense for receipts). Is there a way to get a color duplex scan of a long document? I tried to set up a custom profile, but it isn't clear what settings I should use. Thanks.

Hi! I have an extremely long reel ( a whole receipt roll) that I want to scan without cutting. what is the limit for the long document mode? If I have to break a scan up, can i leave the sheet fed up to where it scanned last to make something I can digitally stitch together? Is there a chance the scanner will damage the paper if I try this?

I got my receipt fully through. The scansnap home shows it's perfect. However, when I save the document or try to open it - it comes up blank. Does other receipts just fine. What can i do?

Please Help!! When you scan a long receipt it can't be printed? If I attempt to print, it says 1 page. Doesn't matter if the can is a PDF or a JPEG the entire massive receipt is on a single page so you can't read it if you need to make a print. I could easily split that long receipt into 3 pieces on the same exact page and then it would be readable
