Sheltering in place. It’s out of control in this area right now. Learning more about raising chickens is a nice break from today’s local news. Another good video, Josh.

You have really been an inspiration to my husband and I as we have started the process to having our own chickens. Right now we are starting with our egg layers. But soon we should have our meat birds.

Awesome farm, you could attach a piece of 1 1/2 pvc with a smaller pvc in it to two corners of your mobile coop to make telescoping legs drill a hole and use a carter pin to hold up, or use those pressure clips they use in folding table legs. It prob be more stable to prop up than the bucket. Could prevent a wind blowing it over and crushing a bird.

Just got my first 11 egg layers (Rhode Island reds). Been raising quail. Can't wait to have enough money saved to buy a farm in NC or South VA. These videos are keeping me motivated and really inspire me to follow my dream of farming. Thank you so so much❤

Did anyone notice the one bird that’s already out 😂 we’ll be processing our first batch of Cornish cross in just a few weeks. Thanks for the inspiration josh never would have done it if it hadn’t been for your videos and that’s the truth

Hi josh, that's the first I've seen the shock or not fence with the little netting for the small chicks looks like it does an awesome job not hurting them and training them to the fence at the same time . Really cool video

Thanks for the video Josh! I just received 20 Buff Orpingtons in the mail this morning on my 45th birthday. You have an awesome place and my wife and I have enjoyed your videos over the last year or so when we decided to get into the ranch/farming lifestyle. Our cat has been protecting our garden this year and killed and ate an entire half grown rabbit a few days ago lol.

We've got 80 Rhode Island Red Heritage birds to process June 7th and 14th for Ashe County and then Durham.
Then 37 Cornish Crosses and 50 Freedom Rangers later in June. Gonna be busy!
Finally got LLC status and joined Farmers Market! Whoo!

Good luck with your mobile dumplings!

There are a good number of 'steaders/farmers on the interweb that move chicken tractors daily but the chicks stay in ... I like your way ... And the shirt ...

I chuckled when I saw one of your meat birds escape through the fence just as you were about to talk about whether or not they might escape.
