Bryan Kohberger hires new defense attorney ahead of murder trial | LiveNOW from FOX

Bryan Kohberger, the former Washington Ph.D. student accused of murdering four undergrad students at a neighboring university across state lines in Idaho, has a new addition to his defense team.

Elisa Massoth, a Payette-based defense attorney who once attended the same school as the four victims, is certified to defend death penalty cases and filed a notice of appearance with the Second Judicial District Court Tuesday.

Hiring a new attorney is like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic after it hits the iceberg. By this time next year Kohberger will be on death row in Idaho's maximum penitentiary near Boise.

How can he hire new people? Its the state that pays for him. IMO: if convicted he owes the state of Idaho and death penalty stops the states payments. He has right to prove himself, yet One lawyer should be permitted. Period.
