Testing a Mystery White-Box Computer

In this video, we test and tinker with a mystery white-box computer that I purchased from Facebook Marketplace.

$15 sounds like an interesting price for a vintage computer to be restored. Interesting to see the Windows Classic UI with a desktop wallpaper that kind of looks like something you'd see in an Anime production. I hope to have a glimpse of this computer on eBay very soon!

those blue compaqs were defective at the time i remember working on them when they w ere around many had random shut down issues.

1. Update bios if possible
2. Upgrade ram if motherboard can support more
3. Install some Heroes of Might & Magic 3 or Might & Magic 6, 7, or 8
4. Have fun with some super fun classic games

i got loads of them cd roms drives 40+ and black ones

I never see any beige DVD or CD-ROM drives at Goodwill. But once i found a 2000 Samsung DVD-master 12e (SD-612) It's gray :D

Refurbished 5 out of 8 IDE CDROM and CDRW/DVD-ROM combo drives today. Of the remaining 3, one seems to have a power issue, one only reads discs when I turn it upside down and the other is unrecognised by Windows.
