In a lot of ways 13-year-old Cameron Thompson is a normal teenage boy; obsessed with computer games, sporting the first hints of a moustache and a newfound interest in girls. However he is also a maths genius who is currently doing an Open University degree in applied mathematics and has Asperger's Syndrome, both of which create challenges in his life. Can Cameron balance the need to remain the genius he has always been, and therefore different, with the classic teenage longing to be accepted?

I'm not sure I've ever seen a more wonderful and inspiring set of parents. They love without smothering. They advise without commanding. They support without judging. And to do all this with no blueprint for a son so gifted, and also so challenged, is something that really deserves the utmost praise!

Also, honorable mention to the teacher as well. As someone who found himself stuffed in a similar program because of a physical disability, I can tell you firsthand that teachers like her are absolute unicorns. She's also one in a million.
