DISCLAIMER (Of course, I'd have one 😁)
Hey, you might think that this info makes me your lawyer, but it doesn’t and I’m not. Sorry, but I AM NOT YOUR LAWYER unless we have an engagement agreement. I am just providing public information here, like a library does, and am not providing you with legal advice about your situation. So, it would be totally unreasonable for you to conclude we have an attorney-client relationship just because you're viewing this information.

Reckless sleeping is no joke. I once had a nightmare about it.

Mike is such a rebel that he managed to get a ticket just by sleeping, he has the skills that take money from the bills

In Australia you’d see plenty of billboards on the highways that advise to pull over and rest if you feel tired while driving

Here in NYC, we don’t know how not to jaywalk.

As a European, getting fined for jaywalking is the stupidest thing to pay money for😂

I used to drive cross country, so taking naps was frequently important.

Three places you can stop off and nap: Walmart Parking Lots, Truck Stop Parking Lots, and Rest Stops. If you can’t find any of these, look for your nearest parked 18-wheeler and park about 15-20 feet behind him. He’s gettin some shut eye too and it usually means the nearest safer stop is a dozen or more miles out.

For anyone living in South Carolina, you can be arrested and/or fined for sleeping in a car in a private area due to homeless laws. It’s real odd, but I know people who have stories about it. If you do, pull over on the side of the road or stop by a national or state park

Remember. If you are sleeping it off in your car because you are intoxicated... Don't sleep it off behind the wheel. Choose one of the passenger seats.

“Sir, you were recklessly sleeping.”

My old boss used to sleep in his car on his lunch break. He was in his 50s and his mouth sort of hung open and not even kidding we had people come inside concerned for him several times.

more people really need to understand it's totally ok to pull over and take a nap

Here in Australia we actively request you take a Power Nap instead of driving, there are signs basically on all the highways

In Germany we have a law stating that the inside of your car is essentially the same legal ground you would have in your home. This for example, is the reason you are technically legally able to drive naked in Germany without a fine. (However you may be fined with indecency upon exiting your vehicle, if you have a garage at both your start and destination however you could travel naked). Same with sleeping ofcourse, aslong as your car is standing legally (and the motor is turned off) somewhere you can do whatever you want in your car that you could do at your own home. Sleep, Call a friend, eat, have a meeting, be naked, smoke, you could probably even drink alcohol aslong as you keep the key away from the ignition
