Understanding NCEA - Using Graphic Calculator to Find Mean and SD of Inverse Normal Distribution.

In this video, we are going to use the graphic calculator and try to calculate the mean and standard deviation of the inverse normal distribution. To do this, we must first convert the distribution to its standardized form, that is to make the mean equal to 0 and the standard deviation equal to 1. This enables us to get the value of standardized z. Substitute the value of z into the equation z = (x - mean) / standard deviation, to get the value of the unknown mean or standard deviation.
