Watch Orion’s first fight test unfold on NASA Television December 4, 2014. Orion is in the final stages of preparation for the uncrewed flight test that will take it 3,600 miles above Earth on a 4.5-hour mission to test many of the systems necessary for future human missions into deep space. After two orbits, Orion will reenter Earth’s atmosphere at almost 20,000 miles per hour, and reach temperatures near 4,000 degrees Fahrenheit before its parachute system deploys to slow the spacecraft for a splashdown in the Pacific Ocean.

I may not be able to watch it because of school, but it won't stop me from watching it once I'm home. I'm sure there'll be replays of it.

Gotta love how this is scheduled just so everyone who has school will miss it.

My wife and I are taking this great opportunity to take our two kids to watch after camping near Cape Canaveral. Unfortunately the kids will miss a day of school. I'm sure it will be worth it. I remember watching the space shuttle as a kid, Thanks to my parents. Now for experiencing the testing of a Mars capable human transport spacecraft.

Going to be a BLAST! Can't wait, this is an important milestone in taking the next steps to Mars :D  NASA AFRC is hosting a Splash Down Blast for the public at 7:30AM PT the day of the launch!

Dreadful, gone backward with parachutes, nothing new, it's the worst have seen.
