Get yourself an old oil bottle, poke a tiny hole in the lid and fill it half full of gas. Works as a nice squirt gun. Try and fill the bowl through that little vent tube on the top of the carb.
The brake cleaner isn't real good for your motor. Burns extremely hot and dry. Lean. Two stroke gas is better for waking up an old motor that's been sitting for some time.
