Steve, I'm new to your channel and I like your style, glad I found you! My son has an FR-S and when I first drove it, it was like a revelation, I have been driving Corollas for the past 23 yrs so when I got to drive it, I was shocked at how precise the steering was and the road-holding as well, when I got back to my Corolla, it felt downright "floaty" and like I was driving on rain-slicked road. (it was dry)

I'm also 6'2" and have owned the FR-S for a few weeks. There is plenty of room in the front of this car. At least as much as the '07 Rabbit I traded in for it. It's just the back seats and to some degree the trunk that suffer. Hope that helps.

I may love american cars over imports, i think what toyota/scion did with the gt86/fr-s is simply outstanding. it brings back the fun to driving.

another great reivew. Nice to see the automatic tested. There are plenty of reviews on the manual so get over it people. Plus when something like 90% cars sold in NA are autos, its not really surpriseing that it is an option. Don't like it? Just get the stick.

I read about and it sure seems to be a great transmission. I just wish for a bit more power---at my elevation, it would suck some life out of it. A low pressure turbo with 240HP and 200+ tq would make it perfect.

You'd be fine. I went for a test drive and the car was pretty comfortable for me. I'm 6'4". You just gotta put the seat all the way back.

6' 1" and I fit fine. Maybe a concern once you cross 6' 3".

the snow mode starts you out in 2rd gear to avoid slipping

Finally! Toyota has awakened. I hope they also make a successor for the MR2!

Most fun car to drive. More fun than a mustang camaro or Z. It's way slower but it's fun. The driving dynamics are near perfect. It's needs more power. The drive would be that much more fun. But you do get pretty dam good mpgs so fair trade off. Running premium though I

Not bad, not bad. I'm kind of a Toyota hater but I must admit it looks decent.

Steve, are you going to be driving a loaded Subaru BRZ Limited soon (with either transmission)? I hope you do.

I would love to own this kind of car, but it really needs to do more with the interior before I can call it a daily driver

but it has, the MX-5 has the power retractable hard top.

Indeed, and it should have been a Toyota product here in the USA as well.

Hey Steve, how would you compare this car's handling and fun factor to the new BMW 3 series (sport line)?

Steve, which type of fuel does it take? (regular, premium recommended, premium required)

I wouldn't call it "fine" for anyone, really. My 7-year old daughter hated it.

After driving this any car is going to feel a bit sloppy. Thanks for the note.
