I have finally built my first PC!!! I am honestly so proud of myself because I struggled a lot but now I feel so confident in my PC build skills and being able to upgrade parts in the future! Shout out to my friend for helping me throughout the whole build yous a real one.

Not gonna lie I was struggling with screwing and plugging everything in but thankfully I think it was better that I did everything softly cuz that turned out to be easy to fix. My reason for building a PC was because I was unable to edit or game smoothly without running into problems. Ever since I started filming in 4K my old computer could barely handle editing besides the basics. Gaming was also an issue because I would be playing games that aren't hard on your GPU but my graphics card would still crash from time to time. I had my good old PC for 6 years so it was time for a big upgrade. By no means was I able to afford this right away I had to save and cut other costs to be able to afford everything and I waited for sales and bundles when I could.

I hope this video finds the people who are also thinking of building a PC for the first time. Mistakes will happen, but that's okay and you're gonna be fine and learn from those mistakes and once you're done you will have to PC of your dreams :) if someone as dumb and soft-willed as me could do it, you can too!

I got a lot of comments on my SSD being installed incorrectly but it is now fixed. I appreciate the constructive feedback!

Also got a lot of comments about why did I get this part instead of this other one. I got a bundle through Microcenter for the CPU, motherboard and RAM so my reason for buying those are because of the price. I am aware that I lost some performance from buying those parts, but it was my first pc purchase so I worked with it. All other parts were recommended to me either by an experienced friend or through a worker at Microcenter. Overall I have good temps and my gaming and editing experiences are so much better than before, so this build as of now is working for me!

A lot of PC builders make it look like the parts just seamlessly fit together with no effort, but turns out it takes a lot of pressure and some snapping to even put them in place lol

Can we just appreciate how well-designed most parts are and how companies like Lian Li think about literally everything???

I like how you assemble your PC step by step, because it gives me time to see exactly how the case is, to observe all its details; it's something that not many assembly professionals do. Do you know that there are Lian Li SL-INF fans with the blades reversed? This way, you don't lose the beautiful effect they have by flipping them to create the correct airflow. Your happiness when your PC finally boots up is contagious. Congratulations! I was expecting it to be the case with the screen, but you've ended up with a very nice PC. Do you use the Wallpaper Engine application for the animated desktop background?

Very relaxing vibe. That 4080 super gonna do wonders for you, i myself am rocking a 7900xt. Im also a big fan of the whole fish tank pc case, looks very very nice. I might get that same case(with the lcd screen) for my next build

We all make mistakes from our builds part of the learning process, and loved how it turned out. Have done a build Amd parts, and initially went with Intel A750, but later got the 7600 XT to pair with the 7600X.

Honestly not bad for a first time PC builder! Looks great
I see an associate helped you picked out the parts.
They did a great job selecting parts based on your use cases.
Make sure to fill out a survey, it really does help them out.

The only nitpick that will effect you over time is the SSD riser.
The little hexagonal screw you placed on top of the SSD is meant to be a bridge pillar of some sort to make sure the SSD is not bent when installing.
Over time you will notice that the SSD will bend due to heat and stress. That thicc hexagonal riser and M.2 silver screw is there to prevent that from happening.
My recommendation is to use the M.2 screw that comes inside of your motherboard box, it will be this tiiiiny screw that's silver that comes in a singular plastic baggy.
Micro Center does sell the M.2 Risers and screws individually as well if you're missing yours. They will be found near the thermal paste area I believe.

Another thing that will help you over time is space. I saw you only have one 2TB drive. Make sure that you don't use more than about 80% of your boot drive, because when using 100% of your drive there is a chance of corrupting Windows. Windows does need some breathing room to install updates, security fixes and more.

When saving footage (since you mentioned you will be video editing) make sure you save it externally on a hard-drive or get a secondary internal drive.
HDDs last longer but are slower, SSDs are faster but die quicker. It's best to use SSDs for cache files or game folders & as a boot drive, and your HDDs as additional storage.
NASs will help you too, but that's becoming it's own topic.
When upgrading components, make sure you only use the power supply cables that came with your power supply as they are rated for it/are proprietary.

Otherwise Good job! Looks very clean. The Y70 is a great case to build in.
Say hi to Josh from the service/repair department for me plz.😉

We can get help from you now. It's a nice build indeed. Your PC so cool so graphics card fans turn on only occasionally.
