XP Deus II (2) & Minelab Equinox 800 Standard factory programe TEST BED, 8' multiple targets Results

As requested by quite a few of our regular subscribers, this is a comparison of the Equinox 800 and the Deus 2, on our mature 8" Test bed. Both machines are on the deepest non-expert modes, ie. not gold or relic (Field 1 and Deep HC, respectively), with no changes made.

Both machines are awesome, so don't expect there to be a clear winner or loser.

We were lucky enough to get a XP Deus 2 on launch day! We paid full price, and over the next few weeks we'll be going through things that we like, dislike and tips to make your detecting easier and more fun. Stay tuned to see more.

Great work boys, a comparison that many would want to see. I’ve never used the Nox but it’s clearly a good machine….wouldn’t swap it for my D2 though…if for no other reason than the build and weight. Take care you lovely people x

1st time Deus 2 user here. Your videos have been a god send to understand the machine better. Coming from a Nox I find the Deus 2 better at identifying iron. Could you do a video on that? Keep up the great work. Bob.

What I found with my nox 800 if it was anything worth digging then I would get a little vibration from the machine to my hand, asked my mate who as been using the nox from the start he said I am one of the lucky ones and I have only heard of one other that the machine does this for.

Had a Deus 1. Sold it for a Nox 800. Great machine and some deep miniscule targets Deus 1 would have struggled on but never quite gelled with it's tones. Awaiting Deus 2 after sales of Nox 800 and do not mind the price diff. It's probably a harmonic difference but in 3 tears of Nox it never turned up the finds the Deus made but then that's down to permissions.

The ending question should be, is that difference worth the miss then double price that the Deus2 is compared to the cheaoer nox. I'm still not convinced its worth the extra money.

Equinox 800 could cause the Deus 2 miss items if they were close together in range.

Calabash showed that the Equinox 800 could send out emi thelat would cause the Deus 2 miss items if they were ran close together. Terry
