Introducing the AAAS Science Matters series which was organized by the membership team and the editors and writers of Science. This series takes the latest scientific discoveries from the pages of Science and brings them to a live interactive format. This exciting new series kicked-off on September 27, 2018 in Washington, DC with a focus on CRISPR gene editing, which was featured in the August 31 special issue of Science entitled Technologies Transforming Biology. This event provided an exclusive opportunity for attendees to engage in-person with the editors and writers of Science, as well as the researchers whose work they capture.
