Gohan is pretty Important

i find it weird the toriyama said that for the buu saga he couldn't make gohan as the protagonist work, because it felt like he'd already been doing that for most of z. even beyond his important actions, it felt like we were following gohan's perspective more often than goku, and that gohan was spending a lot more time actually in the action.

Gohan is a major reason why vegeta didn't win against goku in the 1st fight because goku naturally wasn't going to win that fight he used all of his techniques and vegeta tanked it all and it took a great ape gohan crushing vegeta to force him to retreat. Gohan is easily a top 5 character in dragon ball

I honestly was happy for Gohan when he became a scholar. He has had his lifetime fill of near death experiences at 5 YEARS OLD! I don't blame him for not fighting anymore.
