This is true. I thought I had bad designs (always got favorites but no purchases) until I compared my store to others and STEPPED my game up. Now I am guaranteed at least 1 sale a day (or multiple orders on the weekend).

I have an unrelated question. If, say, you have a Youtube channel teaching about Etsy and everyone goes to check out your shop, will that affect your stance in the algorithm? Or is it irrelevant if you have an email list and market properly?

The first part, what you said about everything being dialed in, is totally the situation in my case. And I have had some very critical people (Starla Moore being one of them) look at my shop and my products and tell me that it all looks great. So I still don't really know what the heck is wrong. I guess the problem is I'm in a saturated niche. The only traffic I get is from social media, so I have to work harder there.
