This is also why males have a higher chance of being colorblind because the females have two X so if one is messed up there is a backup for it. Makes however if they get a bad copy don’t have another X and instead a Y so they are colorblind.

Some are saying this is not how the punnet square works. But they didn't say it was one. But the diagram makes sense. The colours jusr aren't contrasting enough so it looks confusing. The x chromosome from the mother and the x chromosome from the father make the baby girl and the x chromosome from the mother and the y chromosome from the father make the baby boy. Females have xx chromosomes and males have xy chromosomes.
