WAHOO ELEMNT ROAM REVIEW, COMPARED TO BOLT / GARMIN / LEZYNE MEGA GPS

Mike and I rode through the Utrechtse Heuvelrug to shoot some pictures for Scope, and in the meantime review the Wahoo Elemnt Roam bike computer that we've both been using for a month now.

I love my Roam as well. Very functional and rich with features. I think my favorite is the Strava Live Segments for those days you need something to chase and no one else is around. Plugging in pre-built routes is a breeze and getting started going is as simple as the power button select your route and go. It works best paired with your phone, but works fine without just less of the connected features.

Thanks for this, going for the roam. re-guidance to the route i think is a nice feature to have and also my eye sight isnt the best, so a bigger display is easier to look at, in a short amount of time.

getting a route on lezyne mega gps is super easy lol, its just like wahoo u gotta use ur phone app, they had some app issue when they first launch but after a couple updates its all perfect

Nice video. I have a Garmin Edge Not bad but would the WE-Roam be a big improvement? I understand Mike had the Garmin before, how much better is the WE-Roam? Worth spending 350€ ????

Only ever used the Lezyne app on my iPhone to transfer routes to my Lezyne Super Enhanced.

Nice video. I have a Garmin Edge 1000 but thinking of replacing due to poor battery life and random glitches (most recent yesterday when I lost my entire 88km ride for no apparent reason after stopping). It’s a toss up between getting a Wahoo or a new Garmin, maybe Edge 830.

Buttons are definetely not the same as in Bolt. Wahoo redesigned them because of some suggestions that in Bolt "they were too easy for accidental clicks". They did their job, buttons in Roam suck, they are hard to click and hard to feel if you're doing it right.

You can’t really compare the roam with something 6/7 years old. You should compare with an 830 or 1030 (even if that is now a bit older)
