New third political party could be formed in United States

The new party, called the Forward party, will appeal to the millions of voters who organizers say are dismayed with America's current two-party system.

I'm intrigued. Even though it might take decades for a third party to take hold for real in this country, we desperately need to break free from the two party duopoly/political prison we're trapped in. We need more major parties, 4 or 5, not just 2, and ranked choice voting. Speaking of which, Dorothy Moon was reported to have said something dumb (go figure) at the ID GOP convention recently. She said she's against ranked choice voting because it's "multiple votes per person" (paraphrasing). Not true. Voters vote _once_ by simply _ranking_ the candidates from first choice to last and then the rankings are tallied. There are many explanatory videos on YouTube.

Couldn’t get nominated by dems so made his own party months ago, pure power hungry, the people who need a new party don’t have the guts. The people who need UNITY makes a new party! Ironic? It would be funny if he fail to get nominated by them!

We already have plenty of third parties and the more there are the less attention each will get. Instead of undermining the progress the Libertarians and Greens have already made in establishing themselves as household names maybe people like Andrew Yang should be working to make those parties more politically viable.
