We visited North Dakota in 2017, and the only people staying in the hotel besides us were truck drivers. LOL. The Walmart we visited had little to no one shopping. Also, we tried going to Popeyes at 8:00 p.m., and they were closed.

I actually lived in Alaska for three years and I think the only reason why people don’t wanna come is because people overestimate the winter. The first time you go it’s gonna be surprising but just layer up.

I was in Fargo, North Dakota, for about 3 months with my mom, who was on a travel nursing contract. It's definitely not the ideal place for people to go, but it is very peaceful. The snow they get is not too bad and they have some good restaurants with a nice big mall.

I dont get why you consider North Platte as a "big city" since it's only got 22, 000 residents. The big cities in the state are actually Omaha, Lincoln, Grand Island, and Kearney. Nort Platte would come right behind Kearney at 5th place.
