The shroomlight and stairs idea is so smart. I'm building a railway to get to my zombie farm in my survival world and I want to use glowstone for the lights; I might use this idea for my own world!

Real quick about cats:
They want to observe us 24/7 therefor they hate ANY closed doors (sometimes even glass doors), that's why they will meow until you open the door.

Don't feel bad about getting jump scared playing this game. I 100% freak the heck out when I'm deep down in a cave and I hear an Enderman a few blocks away. I swear it makes noises that sound like it's saying my name and it freaks me out every time.

maybe you could make the chest nect to the secret entrance a trapped chest, so that when you open it it activate the pistons
