JB was so imitated. He had the greatest moves ever. According to Michael Jackson, James Brown was his greatest influence and also many others from Prince to Mick Jagger.

This man was _working_ all the way to last day on Earth. No one had/has the strength this man had, and he was only 53 here. Nobody's touching the Godfather.

O.K., so I am 70 years old but definitely not retired from life. I came upon this U-tube video of The Godfather of soul - James Brown. If I had been at this concert in person I would have either died a happy woman right there or had another 50 years added to my life thanks to the greatness, the most tight band, Macio Parker’s amazing sax solos, James Brown’s control of his band, James Brown’s performance and still great voice, not changed a bit from the old days when he was at the Appolo Theater in Manhattan where I saw him for the first time in person. To say the least, I am fulfilled musically after seeing James Brown years later and realize how he has grown musically and still retained his original, musically tight, primitive, basic, sex appeal, not to forget his extremely close attention to his band and his ability to keep them “on the Good Foot” throughout each performance. I can’t thank James Brown enough for the joy I have received from the old Appolo Days to more modern times. I am fully happy. Thank you Mr. Brown.
P.S. If it makes any difference to you, I am a white lady of no particular persuasion.JAMES BROWN ROCKS MY

Looking at this performance, I'm reminded of James Brown's soulful and distinctive voice. I especially love his dance moves. His rhythm and time was perfect and exceptional. Only Michael Jackson could measure up to those flawless and swift motions!🎉 I also appreciate the Godfather's legacy that will always be remembered.❤❤

Rappers today make a (lot) more money than our legends of the past....and these Rappers don’t even come (close) to James Browns stage energy.

Wow, that instrumental break during Cold Sweat from 7:35 to 9:15 was so good! Mr. Brown was a tight bandleader, and the band was super tight as well!
