Notice how Al sticks his tongue out slightly at the end of the elevator scene. Not quite as overtly as he did when he was playing his Tony "Scarface" Montana character. But just enough to convey his invitation to sin.

Al is such a Legend man..that little tongue movement he does is creepy as f***😅

People miss what he does for a living, and it’s so very true even in the real world, he was dividing them. First came the lie that Mare needed to cut her hair, leaving her dull and unattractive to her husband, while the other woman was sporting it. Second was giving Kevin extra work in order to neglect his wife while at the same time trying to unite him with his daughter, which makes it even more creepy, but not the case. Lastly tempting Kevin to leave his wife for that other woman, divide and conquer, he does that with all the families of the world, that’s his strategy, divide families.

Actually here Devil tries to achieve his goal of having a baby with such a primitive temptation. Kevin refuses and then it took much longer and lot more sophisticated tactics to get him "upstairs". It shows us that Devil always try to buy our souls very cheap at first while we are thinking it's our "luck" to have this "opportunity", not even aware of what we are selling. Once you refuse it still means nothing - next time the price just goes up a bit and one day he'll strike a deal..
