its the oldest sport in the world over 3000 years ago it was only in 2010 that it was compulsory to wear helmets at all levels under age a few years before and it's the fastest ball game in the world.

Josh I grew up with Hurling in Athenry Galway in the west of Ireland. I showed my American friends. One took 15 minutes to see the ball! Thank you for promoting our national sport. You are always welcome here. Hope you come back for the reply or next year.

I play hurling all the time and I appreciate the recognition. I try to get people to understand just because I play a sport from another country and they don’t know what it is doesn't mean I don’t play hard sports. Look up Gaelic football as well I would LOVE to see your reaction Josh. Thanks for the awesome video.

I played hurling for years and years. Top easiest way to get hurt playing is being afraid. It's harder to be hit with the full swing of a hurl if you are inside the swing. Don't stand back in hurling. Great feeling giving that perfect 30m pass straight to the lámh (hand).

When I played Gaelic we got into a fight and three people got bloody noses. We were angry under 10s

I had an Irish coworker who was over 40 at the time was in an amateur league team that played every weekend. He would barely be able to come in on some Mondays.

Its only sore when you get broken bones but you just get up and keep playing until the game is over. Hospital can wait letting your side down would be a crime lol

Best game in the world. Played hard & fast watched by supporters from opposing teams mingled together, joking with each other and wearing their team colours without fear. Players don't dive and roll along the ground looking for the referee to award frees (penalties). I've known players to play on with broken fingers (not recommended). It's fierce and fantastic.

Josh Pray's depiction & promotion of Gaelic games is the best I've seen. The Gaelic Athletics Association (GAA) should invite Josh over for the All Ireland Final. It's like our version of the Superbowl.
