Thanks for this great video. Recently made the jump up from Intermediate to Hard and have been routinely getting my arse handed to me and in some fashion by the AI. I now realise where I have been going wrong. I have been placing too many villagers on gold and stone and nowhere near enough on food and wood. The tip with building the outpost around your attacking Longbowmen never occured to me and is a stroke of utter genius. i will definitely be incorporating that in future games as the English.

just used this tactic to win my first game against hard - thank you! Was not quite as smooth as yours but I got there

Great video... I also make use of hot keys a lot so you can switch between units/buildings as quick as possible...

Good video, a tip is to focus on advancing to castle age a bit more!
Taking the second townhall landmark for the economy boost early game, because that's one of the bigger advances the English have.
I always focus on getting the feudel and castle age as soon as possible (also more XP if you are first).

I think you did a fine job sir. I main the Mongols myself so things get very tricky if you don't push like this. I got lucky on the mastery and hit the hardest AI before they got to age 2 beat them in 17 min. Once I got to it age 2 I focused on getting military upgrades and sieg upgrades for my foot troops to build rams once you do that you can just spam as many engines in there base while you pick there villagers off. Again I like the video GGs sir.

I was struggling with Hard A.I for a few days, then I saw this video and realised that I didn't build anything to cover my archers when attacking the A.I; I just sent Man at Arms with them, which was expensive.

At the beginning of the game, I collected 400 food and 200 gold to get to the Feudal Age, in addition to 400 wood and 300 stone to build a Town Centre (where you built the outpost) in your game) when there's little to no army for them to kill my villagers. 8 villagers were enough to erect the Town Centre.

Once I built the Town Centre, I garrisoned the surviving 4 villagers and let the A.I waste soldiers attacking it, then I built an archery next to the Town Centre and shut down their production by cutting off their supply to gold or their wall they started to build or any rock. I ended up winning the game in 30 mins by getting to the castle age then destroying their landmarks with siege weapons.

I think I caught the A.I cheating, as they had 2 longbowman firing at the 8 villagers despite not having an archery - in the only area they built in, they just had a barracks and an Abbey of Kings, nothing that could produce longbowman, I had a thorough look closer to the end of the game while my villagers were building The White Tower to progress to the Castle Age and there was definitely no archery.

what I dont like is when i play 2v2 or 3v3 with AI teammates they always die in the first 30 min. no matter what difficulty I set them to. I wanted to practice a little 2v2 but the AI on my team is def a level or 2 below the ai on the other team, why is it like that? ai shouldnt just automatically be dog water when its on ur team, kinda ruins the match. the real answer it to find a friend who plays i guess, but thats impossible, friends and plays AoE4? good luck.
