No music. No sound effects. No voice over. No narration.
Just an artist at work. Perfection

I can only imagine how incredible it must feel to put on something and have it fit just perfectly. The time and attention to detail I see here is astounding.

My late grandfather was the first Egyptian master tailor to have his own atelier in downtown Cairo, after spending years-long apprenticeship under an Italian master tailor. Watching him doing exactly what this gentleman is doing was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever witnessed..I wish he lived longer for me to study and acquire his craft, but I invite every gentleman here to strive to own at least one handmade suit to keep this art alive.
Thanks

I have multiple tailored suits and after seeing these videos after my 1st one, I asked my tailor everything about them and the amount of pure custom, handcrafted, immensely precise work that goes into these masterpieces is more than most people can comprehend. I’d say it’s an art form, but I don’t even think that does it justice. My tailor mentioned to me it’s a beautiful mix of math, engineering, style, and surgery all mixed into one craft, unique in itself to anything else on the planet. The only other comparable process is the form of creating custom shoes. Apart from that, there is nothing else in the world that embodies the “piece unique” style for 1 person. These suits are truly incredible and the people who create them are equally, if not more impressive. And if you think the creation of the proportions is crazy, the sewing and stitching is jaw dropping

It's so impressive how precisely and quickly he's able to measure and cut things. A true master.

My father had to have a suit tailor-made in 1946 because he had lost so much weight at 6'3" that no ready-to-wear suit could be altered enough to fit him properly. He had returned home from the South Pacific after serving in the USAAF over 40 months during WWII.

A local tailor made him 2 suits that year, one winter and one summer. My father always spoke kindly of his tailor, and his name stuck with me through the years.

About a year ago I began getting my hair cut by a stylist in my neighborhood who works from her home. Her last name is the same name as that of my father's tailor. The name is an unusual one. One day I asked her if she was related to my father's tailor. Turns out he was her husband's grandfather.

I enjoyed every minute of this fascinating video.

After learning how hard this craft is (with some basic sewing of way easier garments and pattern making) these videos are even more impressive. Its crazy how fluid and controlled every step is and with no mistakes, every cut and every marking on the fabric and the paper is just immaculate.

In this suit, any man will look very impressive!

I love the sounds of him working. Each scissor snip, the sound of the needle breaking through the fabric, the sound the thread makes when it's being pulled through, even the loud noise of the machine from time to time. I could watch these all day.

"So Mr Wick is this suit for business or pleasure?"

This man is not just a job, but a true artist! His movements are as precise as a physics equation and his way of working is so elegant that it looks like a mathematical demonstration!

Maybe it's just me, but I think the sound of the scissors cutting the fabric is one of my favorites. There was a lady that lived in my local community who would make dresses out of her house and the sound always reminds me of going to her house with my mother.

My uncle was a master Taylor like this but unfortunately he lost both his arms and one leg in a freak cable car accident… showing him this made him cry, but I think it was tears of joy, not pain…

You know, when we see someone so experienced and self assured in his job, we observe not just a duty, but an actual art.

At first I thought the use of a foot pump "antique" sewing machine was old-fashioned. But then I realized it provides total, absolute control over the stitching, undoubtedly much better than a modern, hi-tech sewing machine would. Very cool.

not a single pin was used except that one mark during fitting. I am in awe and definitely picked up some tricks that I´ll try to incorporate into my own amateur sewing. Thank you for putting this together and highlighting the artistry, engineering, skill, years of experience and dedication of this craft
