In this weeks shrEDIT I will show you guys how I pack my bikes before flying and give you some tips and tricks on how to pack it.

When I flew to New Zealand I had to pack 3 bikes! I always use the EVOC bike bags, they are easy to use and it only takes me 15 minutes to pack.

A little bit of a different shrEDIT this week, but I hope you guys enjoy it!

Happy trails!

Worth popping some sort of spacer (i use 142mm of 15mm diameter plastic heating pipe) between the rear dropouts as, even with the axle in there the rear stays can suffer damage if someone loads on top of the bike while it is laying on its side.

Just watched all 5 shrEDIT videos. Its cool to get a glimpse of what your life with bikes and riding is like. You're doing great behind the camera, and good luck with the rest of your season!

Great video and tips! I usually wrap my derailleur in a cloth and zip tie it to the inside of my rear triangle just to be extra safe.

I’ve used Evoc bags quite a few times and like you, I always remove the derailleur and discs, just in case - thanks for the top tip about marking handlebar position, that’s excellent.

I’m looking forward to some nutrition videos from you - especially if they are ‘how to cook a nutritious meal on a two burner gas hob in a camper van’😁

Great vid! What about the air in the suspensions and seat post? Thanks and keep up the great work!

Nice and informative! Thinking about flying with my bike makes it always look like a hassle (in my mind) but it is not majorly different when packing my van (tightly) and making it take up as little space as possible.

Hey great little video thank you - i'm contemplating to get one of these for Domestic travel around Thailand, but heard mixed reviews on how good this thing actually protects your bag. Now that you've had it and travelled a bit with this, can you update or mention anything in terms of any issues you may have had. I would think that smie hard case would be enough protection, and if i wanted to add more, some foam or packagin material inside the bag wouldn't hurt but prevent any major damage. Thanks again for your vid!

I've watched a cof bike bag videos and I like yours the most. I wander if there are specific bags for folding ebikes. BTW that is a Canadian accent I bet.

Great tutorial Anneke. Very beneficial. Does security allow to put all tools in our bike bag too and how about Lube/oil/sealant too? How much psi should I also have in my tyres before packing em up? Thanks Anneke!

How do you deal with the evoc after arriving?

This was so useful and crammed with tips, thanks for putting it together. I'm a roadie myself and found this whilst looking for Evoc reviews. Looks good for my 2XL Canyon Ultimate Disc! Coincientally I just got back from Rotorua - what a place to ride!! One question, purely out of interest: the NZ airline security are incredibly strict (as you mentioned) and even went so far as to remove (and trash) my camera battery - which was tiny, depleted and inside my camera/camera bag. Have you had any problem getting other small rechargables through such as bike lights or even Di2 batteries? I'd be so nervous of my Di2 battery being trashed! A common knock-on effect of this over-zealous security is that your bag misses a connecting flight ='(

What is the weight of the bag once the bike is strapped in? Thanks

So where did you pack your clothes? I thought you said you’re only allowed 3 bags.
