It was a nickname my friends gave me when I was in highschool because I dressed like a hippie and was a ‘wild child’, when I came back into my faith they thought ‘the religious hippie’ was now a more appropriate nickname and it stuck!

I used to think this way before I had kids but dinner has to get made so I do limited screen time with shows that I pick for them. However they won’t be allowed to use social media I don’t even think I’ll allow them to have phones with internet if they want to use the internet or need to for school they can use my laptop in front of me

I don’t have children yet either… but on one hand I wouldn’t want my children on social media at all, but on the other hand, if they’re going to go off to college and just do whatever they please as quasi-adults, I’d at least like to have informed them and prepared them about safe internet practices 🤷🏻‍♂️

Agree 100% as a mom of 3 (soon to be 4) ages teen to toddler. It's only easier in the moment to rely on electrics but in the long run it's much more difficult to undo all the damage.

I would rake it to a more qualitative requirement: no one who has a sense of self should be on there bc it’s full of echo chambers that people adopt when they don’t know who they are for themself

Mom's 100 years ago didn't get "5 minutes of peace and quiet" why should they now? A mother is supposed to be a mother first and formost. Being a mother is a sacrifice.

yeah absolutly no kid 8-10 and under should have an ipad. Give them a book or a stem toy ot something else to keep there minds occupied in the waiting room.
