Make-A-Wish Mustang Overhaul - Justin D & Steve Voudouris of AmericanMuscle.com

Make-A-Wish approached AmericanMuscle about an 18 year old named Johnathan with a life-threatening illness whose wish was to have his 2000 Mustang customized by the AmericanMuscle team. Honored and excited to grant his wish, we stepped in to tackle the project. Our team worked with Johnathan to find out exactly what Mustang he dreamed up and then our artists sketched it to find out if we hit the mark.

Johnathan was thrilled with the concept and told us we were definitely headed in the right direction. He was blown away by it and more excited than ever to have his wish start to take form. After we got his 2000 Mustang to our headquarters, we realized it was beyond repair. It had extensive body damage and a cracked frame. We were determined to keep Johnathan's wish alive. We worked with Johnathan to help him get a 2001 Mustang GT so that we could still build the New Edge Mustang that he dreamed of.

Building someone's dream car is a challenge that we were thrilled to be a part of. Johnathan's dream was a 1999-2004 Mustang that looked like a Boss 302 Laguna Seca with red and black paint. He loved the look of the Roush body kit and side-exit exhaust along with an SVT Cobra hood. Our friends at Malvern Collision helped us transform the exterior to look exactly like our sketch.

After that, it was our turn to take over with performance modifications from exhaust, cold air intake, throttle body, intake manifold, full exhaust, gears, driveshaft, brakes and even wheels and tires. We hooked Johnathan up with Raxiom Gen5 Taillights and Halo Headlights. Finally, the interior was transformed with new carpet, seats, a touch screen audio system, speakers and interior LED lighting.

All that was left was to reveal this dream Mustang build to Jonathan at the show.

Wish fulfilled...

The AM Team did a Fantastic job with the car and the entire car show itself. This was my first year attending the show and seeing first hand how much AM gave back to the community and the make a wish foundation makes me proud to be a part of the Mustang family. I will be attending this show for as long as it's running and plan to bring my kids when they are a bit older. Thanks again American Muscle for putting on a great show. And Jonathan, Enjoy that beautiful car.

I know it is the rival of the Mustang but this made me think about when I was in college and we helped a kid at the time rebuild his Camaro. His dad was killed when he was in the service. This video made me smile a lot. You guys are awesome.

Throughout this video I didn't even notice but I had a smile. That's honestly one of the greatest things I've ever seen someone do. So glad to have AM parts on my mustang. So proud to be part of this community.

After watching so many overhaulin episodes I literally laughed when I saw that artist rendering. Chip foose must’ve taught a 5 year old some basics and had him become the artist for this company

I know this video is old but I am from Philly and went to a few of the AM car shows and meet Justin and Chip! I have never been to a more exciting show ever. The cars are awesome, the vendors are friendly, and the people that come out are awesome as well. I live in Texas now and don't get a chance to go to the shows. But, I will always remember meeting Justin and Chip. My Mustang sports many parts from AM including a pair of black fr500s! Keep up the great work AM. I love you guys!
