The shift back to a blank face and the eye twitch is too real

I always say “sorry forgot I existed for a sec” when someone notices me zoning out😂😂

Somebody told me I look like a dead fly when I zone out. But like, zoning out whenever you get overwhelmed. 🔛🔝

Spacing out literally feels so good but people cannot leave you the fuck alone when you do it

it's like resting in a game like Skyrim or fallout to Regen your health except instead of recovering health you recover social stamina

I do this, but while my friends are talking to me. They always think I’m not listening, but I really am, I promise.

I do the same thing. But it’s worse when I have an upset resting face. People are more worried for me and get even more confused when I snap back to reality with a smile

I did this once in English class after a test for like 20 minutes I watched an episode of the Simmons in my head just vague hazing jokes that I was barely even conscious of

100% unrealistic. He forgot the visceral rage being interrupted brings like nothing else./s/ 🤣🤣🤣 I love his videos, they're great. 🥰

I can’t believe some people don’t zone out/dissociate. I cannot go like 4 hours without it😭

OH! A good solid space-out is so nice. I once successfully replaced a nap with about a half hour of zoning out.

honestly thats so relatable, i always get visibly uncomfortable when a stranger is too close to me so i usually end up walking away and staring at the ground

The shifting back to dissociating is too funny and real. I cackled so loud. But fr this be me and majority of the time i am paying attention

When I zone out I still think about things, but it's just comfortable to lock eyes with...the space.

There are different levels of dissociation. The most basic is spacing out but derealization can also be severe depending on how much someone uses it as a coping mechanism, from trauma for example.

(I don’t dissociate, I’ve just been doing research on my own).

A while ago I saved a picture on my phone that says directly says, "Word of the day is 'latibulate' (17th century): to hide in a corner in an attempt to escape reality."

This video encapsulates that I feel.

This is so real! Like it could be the smallest thing but when you notice it EVERYTHING else feels off. And you just start to get very overwhelmed and just need some time alone.❤

The best time to space out is right after a shower where you just sit on the ground and stare at the wall before realizing that you’re alive

I literally did this a few weeks ago when my family and I are gathered into the living room. My mom decided to show how loudly obnoxious this French bulldog is, she found on instagram. Literally after a minute of nonstop loud dog. I went outside, sat on the porch to watch rain until she was done showing videos. Which was like twenty minutes later. Wasn’t going to deal with that.

Turn your brain for a second?? I stare at the wall for at least 4 minutes
