I love that you put an EVGA card front and center... It truly makes me really sad what happened with them so much that I am really wishing that AMD steps it up and makes something competitive against nvidia so I can go with them. I love EVGA so much they had my back even when I destroyed a GPU while water-cooling and told them the truth and they still honored my warranty. Hands down the best partner that nvidia ever had.

The animations and graphics of the benchmarks looked really good. I like the highlighting when the notes mattered, such as "lower is better". I usually have to pause those to look closer but this one was really well done that I could watch at full speed and catch all the relevant information. Thanks for always improving, Jay!

As a person who does not like pushing any types of overclocking, what AMDs been doing helps me so much and reason been staying with it for long time. I hope their next GPU is as impressive as this.

The fact that it adjusts the RAM timings all by itself on boot is amazing.

AMD ist killing it Right now, I just hope they can compete on the GPU front as well.

I love the excitement this is creating... I hope AMD smashes it with their new GPU too, can you imagine if the do a 7950X3D, it will be freaking awesome

If these cpus are this insane, I can’t wait to see what the next 3d v-cache CPU’s will do.

I love to see the EVGA GPUS in the videos lately. Support them as much as we can!

I feel like this amount of performance upgrade is a reason to bring back not skunk-works but a skunk-works inspired name. Like how Lockheed had Archangel as a code name. Maybe use one of Skunk-works code names for their planes on a personal build, have a skunk etched into a panel. Obviously not the skunk-works skunk but one wearing a Jay2Cents shirt or something.

Upgraded from a 1600 to a 5800x this year. I’m blown away by the improvements this gen. I’ll hold on for another gen or two before my next upgrade, can only imagine how much faster things will get by then.

I love it when two companies compete. Competition brings innovation and technological advancements. I've been waiting for your Amd cpu review. Super excited to see your review on the Radeon 7000s.

I'm in the same exact boat as you Jay, we have had almost the same exact systems through the years and now I'm looking forward to a full AMD build again.

I'm not even close to being in the market for new hardware at the moment, but cool to see big things coming and even more cool to see Jay genuinely hyped about something. Shame Nvidia don't know how to bring it without so much bullshit attached that it cuts through this kind of excitement.

Imagine how good the 3D v-cache versions are going to be!

Your benchmark graphs are some of the best I've seen. Granted these are only comparing 2 products, but all of them start at 0, the layout is consistent, and probably my favorite detail, any important information is highlighted yellow. A detail I'm used to hunting for in other channel's reviews is whether a higher or lower score is better. With yours, it was nearly effortless to find out. I just felt like that little detail needed to be appreciated.

That boot tuning should be done with a progress message on screen showing what it's doing. Because as the CPU designer, they should be able to reconfigure the IO chiplet to drive RAM at the different speeds while keeping the temporary BIOS state somewhere else (like the cache).

When looking at comparisons, I think it pretty much comes down to if you're productivity or gaming focused, for productivity get standard Zen 4, for gaming get the X3D parts when they come out.

So they've basically enabled PBO by default (technically not true, they've at least increased the default limits).
Previously 5950x was a bit gimped by default - 25k in cinebench when most could achieve 30k by changing 1 setting. This makes the comparisons a bit messed up, would be nice to compare at similar temp/power.

I’m hyped for AMD. can’t wait to support their extravagant performance and care

Pretty cool how the system will trial and select the best stable timings for you. I like it! However, I hope AMD or the motherboards explicitly document in their manuals that the system will reboot multiple times on first power on. I can see a lot of people flipping the power switch off after a min or 3 boots thinking something is broken.
