It’s now official, Renault will end their F1 engine project, with Alpine set for Mercedes switch in 2026.
The French manufacturer Renault has confirmed that it will end its works engine effort in F1, after a consultation period with all of the staff in France and a deadline of the September 30th, sadly the staff couldn’t do enough to convince the board to keep the project going and Renaults involvement as an engine manufacturer Formula One is coming to an end.
