great video!!! you actually explained how to use expression maps. I got frustrated looking at other expression map tutorial videos explaining Kontakt, downloads and all that other stuff when I simply wanted to understand this.

Congratulations for such a beautifully explained tutorial. There aren’t many of this sort out there. Thank you

I've been composing music for like 4 years on Cubase, and I just learned about that. I can't even think about how many hours I've wasted doing that stuff manually :(
Thanks a lot ! This will dramatically improve the quality of my compositions as well (I won't be too lazy to add more articulations anymore).

Thank you, big time. New to this. Just started dabbling with orchestrations, and this was just what I needed.

Thank you so much for sharing this video. I now fully understand about expression maps, and have begun the task of creating all the ones that i am going to need. There is a lot for me to do but at least i now know what i am doing! Thanks once again. Best Regards!

I have a serious question that I seem can't get any direct answer for it until now and it's really confusing me as a VST/DAW starter.

Why on earth do all sample library developers include both multi and single artic. patches if I can only use multi. artic. tracks with expression maps and save system resources?! I don't see many benefits of single artic. patches. All I see is that they make the sample library size bigger to download and eat RAM if I load every single artic. on its own track.

Someone please answer this question for me.

Wow! Great video!
Now, as a new user of Cubase Artist 9.5, I understand that expression mapping is not available in my version is there a workround?
Only I have a bunch of great libraries that use keyswitches inc Soundiron Requiem Light,
Thanks

It it possible to trigger two kontakt instances with one expression map?

Just a note: I am not sure, but if you use the provided articulation names, instead of making your own, would this work better with score editors - where perhaps a staccato mark in the score might exchange the expression map? Anther great tutorial btw

Awesome tip, thanks, however some vst’s like session strings pro or symphony essentials have a slight delay for key switches, you usually have to draw them slightly before your notes for them to trigger properly. Will expression maps fix this?

I prefer attribute myself. Cause you can select a note where ever in the editor and then select the articulation you want to trigger in the toolbar. It also saves screen space since you have 1 less CC lane opened... But I'm probably going to change that and have articulations i most often use set as direction and others as attribute. Cause it can get little tedious to go thru the toolbar menu to select my articulations... Not sure what I'm gonna do with that yet. I'll see if i can create short cuts and make this easier maybe? But I'm not looking forward to redo my express. maps that's for sure. :-O
