UPDATE!!!: There is no need to button mash, press LT+RT+A at the same time to open the book ONLY ONCE, then when the book is almost open all the way, double tap B and then press LT+RT+A again ONLY ONCE, and you will get 6 chances to use the book!

I already know that this video is pretty old but, after coming back to Skyrim (the original version as I don't own the "Special Edition" on the Xbox One), I created a new character and wanted to do this glitch again.

Although the old one was patched this one was still useful nonetheless. Good video BTW.

I don't know how it works on all systems, but on the Xbox 360, it automatically asks you to download the updates when you launch the game if you don't have them.

I tried the 'random button' method on the latest PC patch using the 'move right', 'use' and 'back' buttons, and I got 2 uses out of it. Thanks for the tip! (also, I noticed the interface delay also works on those damned bazaria stones.)

If you are already at 900+ magicka with the harmony spell(Master illusion spell, you will need to reach an illusion skill of 100 to get it), then you can go to whiterun and spam it while wearing armor enchanted so that it will regenerate your magicka. Be sure to use the legendary mode on your illusion so that you only have to reach 100 skill points once for every other skill. Doing this got Me from level 81 to level 153 within about 3-4 hours(maybe faster, i didn't keep track of time.) when legendary mode is activated for the illusion, it will go back to 15, using harmony just once will raise it to 30-50, it all depends on how many people are walking around the city.

The original glitch where you read(use) place on shelf then read(dont use) take for inventory then repeate on shelf works on xbox if you delete system cache.

This does not affect DLCs or accounts or any of that BS. Dont believe me? Delete it on a system account instead of yours. I did it literaly less then 5 mins befor posting this and its working fine.

The system cache holds all the temp files you get for those pesky xbox updates that your asked to download whenever you start an outdated game. They offer little fixs and anything added by devs should be listed on there site. If this messes up your game at all then simple go to dashboard and relaunch the game. When it prompts you to update accept and move on.

The whole thing freaks people out but it is as simple as an on/off switch.

Note: that you cant play none up to date games online. But like I said, if it becomes a problem just redo the update.

You get an experience bonus from successful sneak attacks. If you follow Hadvar at the beginning of the game, you can easily sneak attack him for experience. Since the recent update, you can actually farm perks from this.
Hadvar is an unkillable character, but that just opens up an exploit.
This will get you experience fast at the game's beginning, so you can get the Ogma Infinium quickly.
Also, clear your system cache to re-enable the old glitch.

For people that get confused with this hit all three action buttons to open book than back out and repeat. You don't need to mash action buttons just hit all them at the same time

you don't have to button mash so long as you press the triggers and X at the same time and close the book before the 3 options appear and try to re open the book as many times as possible. i just got 7 on a ps3.

Yeah I beat his ass with my sword to get my One-handed up. You can get your sneak up to 100 without doing anything by sneaking behind Ulfr the blind in White River Watch near Whiterun on the river.

I still wonder how it yet forces you to install the update. If you don't do it, it basically just freezes up your 360 even if you delete the title update in the memory.

guys to anyone who still play... i found out the formula for it. the secret is to fully syncronise all 3 buttons on the initial read. you can pay attention to how loud the "turning page" sound when you open the book to see how many times it read. theres no need to button mash, you just need to time your snyc and press b
