The EarthQuaker Devices Plumes Overdrive is ready for its official release to coincide with the Akron pedal purveyors' annual EarthQuaker Day celebrations. Modeled after the classic Tube Screamer, this OD/distortion pedal goes above and beyond with a host of modern features to explore. Watch as Andy takes it for a test (over)drive.

Got mine on Saturday and this pedal is so fantastic. Playing it through a Marshall DSL 40 with my EBMM Valentine. It made the amp jump to life. It might be an always on pedal and I might need another to use for other tones. For 99 bucks, this pedal is a no brainer.

I absolutely love these reviews and I love Andy’s playing to showcase the pedal. I know he does not use a pick, but a lot of us guitarists do and it would be really nice to get the chance to hear that pick attack from these demonstrations since it’s so important in the dynamic response.
