"Blurt" by Mega Mango

Koen keeps thinking of the future, but Aster keeps reminiscing about the past.

A small miscalculation in young Aster's plan lead his whole team to fail the mission, and even though everyone was okay in the end he couldn't carry with the guilt that if he had taken more time to make a plan, no one would've gotten hurt.
Even though he knows what Koen wants, he has learned that rushing things is never the best option.

Song suggested by someone on YouTube! I don't remember who they were, but they suggested this song and Risk, both are awesome, but I noticed Blurt had a similar structure to Boggle. So...you can see what I did.

I also tried to time it for it to be posted exactly on the 18th. It's easy to know why. And hope you know that's not the only reference between this video and Boggle.

Just thought it'd be fun!

I love that 'blurt' is so upbeat and exciting in contrast to 'boggle' being calm.
It really helps portray how Koen and Aster individually feel about the situation. Aster still feels like he's moving too fast and wants to keep taking things slow, and Koen would love to speed things up but he's okay with going slow if that's what Aster needs

The story and narrative of both Blur and Boggles is immaculate, , , and it's motivated me to rewatch Boggle and try pointing out details or connecting possible references that COULD be present, hence, why I'm commenting, ,

-Starting off, one thing I noticed, that may be missed or overlooked, is the use of yellow in the overworld. For Boggle, it's not used much, apart from the moon and obvious places where it should be (Koen's rings), however, I did notice that in one part, there's a hint of faint yellow light streaming through the water, which could be a small detail to how it shifts to black and yellow animation, I choose to think of the extra yellow as their thoughts. For Koen, those thoughts are slowly and subtly making their way into his mind at this moment, and when it shifts to his thoughts, it's sudden, no transition, and quick, which could be why he's seen to be surprised or shocked. It could also be seen as Koen's urge and desire for more, something burning and building up inside.
-Part 2 of the last observation, for Blurt, the excess yellow is there more often, from the shooting stars to even gleams of light in Aster's eyes. I believe this could be seen as Aster constantly having these thoughts on his mind. He's laidback and takes things slow. In Boggle, he's seen most of the time in thought or just in a calm state, however, that's just how he appears on the outside. With all this time relaxing, he has a lot of time to think about things, with the thoughts of what Koen wants and what he thinks about it being possible candidates. Unlike Koen's, Aster HAS a transition, it's slow and builds up to the same yellow and back animations Boggle has, his transition took time and that's how he is in present day.
-Turning to perspectives, I noticed that Koen (For Blurt) or Aster (For Boggle) are in the front with their eyes closed while the other is behind them, it COULD be a reference as to how the other has several things they haven't said or have kept inside from their partner, saying/doing things with their back turned though for this, it's not used negatively exactly.
-Relating to the last observation, I also noticed that all their movements, both inside and outside their minds (Black and yellow parts), are done WHILE their partner's eyes are closed, which I believe is another reference to how they keep some things unsaid. However, for both Blurt and Boggle, there are parts where the partner's eyes are open and they shift to black and yellow, just like the one internally saying their thoughts/singing, which could be connected to how it's said both know what the other wants/prefers.
-One last thing I've noticed that I wanted to save for last is the clock/time transition that is present in both animations. I believe it's clever and a nice thought-out detail, because in Boggle, it appears that the events during the time sequence is the possible future Koen wants, while in Blurt, the events are the cemented past Aster reminisces about, both paralleling each other and further showing what both Eeveelutions have on their minds. With the first sentence in this video's description, I believe it's pretty plausible that this is what both time sequences are, and I think it's incredible.

I could be completely wrong about some of these things, but it's personally what I think about details or things I've noticed. If I notice any more later, I'll be sure to edit this comment to include them, but for now that's all I got. All of your animations are incredible and honestly, give me motivation to do more art, and the way you implement story telling in your animations is just amazing. Keep doing what you're doing!

I remember that there was a comment talking about the difference between how koen's blackout transitions while in boggle it was just a straight cut to black and gold. Representing the differences between the two.

This is DELIGHTFUL I love the two of them so much, and I love the storytelling going on here! It looks like this is on the same night as Boggle? The two of them having so many words to say to eachother but not knowing how to while still enjoying eachother's company, a barrier as thin as paper separating their feelings... My heart YEARNS!
