❓ASK DR. H — Should I rinse after I brush my teeth?

🪥 There is not a lot of research regarding whether or not you should or shouldn’t rinse after brushing.

🤨Most toothpastes you use will have fluoride & rinsing after brushing can take the fluoride off. For fluoride to work effectively, it needs to sit on your teeth for a while.

🦷Instead of rinsing completely after brushing, I like to wet my toothbrush and brush my teeth with water. This still gives me that fresh breath feeling & keeps the fluoride on there!

😁Remember: fluoride works more effectively when it sits on your teeth longer. So maybe skip the rinse!
