This is an extremely underrated tip. Takes the focus off all the swing thoughts of swing mechanics, arms, wrists, etc., and connects you to the ground! Love it! Well done mate! 👏🏻👏🏻

What I like about your blogs is that - I can feel your concern in you wanting/encouraging all your viewers in improving their swing/s and you wanting them to succeed! I will give this tip a go. but I do a squat on my backswing, but sometimes I can squat too much when playing into the wind resulting in a hook!
Thank you so much in helping my game this year and am sure you have helped many!

I used to watch the great Gene Littler play a lot in the 70's and he started his swing this way.

Love the waggle and for what worth, I find the longer the backswing the harder it is to attain a solid strike.

Superb tip ... One of the biggest issues is the hip turn... That we do not turn it enough, triggers the root cause of "over the top" down swing.. will try it tomorrow

Saw this last night. After having eye surgery my game wasn't the same. Typed in for YouTube, Lost golf swing. Saw many lessons with right arm this, shoulder to ball, cock wrist like holding a plate...all just in the backswing. Then came across this and played today and WOW! No thought, putting the heel down just like key in ignition to start car. Normal scores are 89-95. I had an 81 with 1 double and boggie on the last 2 holes. Got fast ...too excited!

This really helped the overall balance in my swing and finish.

At 7:10, you talk about “feel the weight of the club”, which is good advice. I do this swing action, but I don’t just want to “feel the weight of the club”…I grip & swing it to “feel the weight of the club head”, instead! And then, in the actual swing, my thoughts go to “swing the handle” which flings the club head with speed! 👍

I tried starting my backswing with my trail leg to sling back my upper body, hands and club, resulting to a more consistent ball strike. I can relate to what you’re demonstrating. Nice tip.

Played in a tournament this weekend, and found myself standing over the ball seeming frozen and unable to fire. Such a great swing tip to help make sure that never happens again

I’ve been having this problem lately def will try this. End of last season I had that nice and free flowing and smooth swing but somewhere between the start of this season and now I lost it. Especially w driver! I was finally thinking that I had this game somewhat figured out and was hitting fairways consistently w no stress at the tee either. I was confident in my swing and the feel was so nice!!! Then I started lifting weights again and I believe that’s what got everything all cocked up lol.

Great video, Alex! Thanks! I'm trying to start my swing with the pivot instead of my usual early wrist set. This should help keep my arms and wrists more passive!

I don’t think about the take away very much, and this seems like it would be a good way to help coordinate things a little more consistently. I’m going to start practicing at home! Thank you for another great swing thought! I really appreciate them!!

I started doing the heel starter without even knowing it months ago. Helped my rhythm a lot

Saw this video last night so thought I would try it on the range today before I played golf. Like most golfers who have been playing a while although I can hit some great shots, my striking of the ball can be a bit inconsistent. Well I played a great round today, only duffed 1 shot. I shall continue to use this to start my swing, with one slight variation when my back heel goes down on the back swing I slightly raise my front heel and then put it back down before my downswing starts, works a treat. Thanks for the tips, love the channel.

I can be a good player but occasionally have horrible rounds where I just cant seem to find my rhythm. I watched this and took it to the range yesterday. It was awkward feeling at first and sometimes I struggled to get the pattern right but then with a few minutes of slow practice it started feeling like a flow was forming. The next thing I know Im watching beautiful high arching draws land down range. Taking it to the course today and Im hopeful it will help me hit more good shots out there.
As far as complaints about you talking too much...I think you do a great job. Your one of my favorites on YouTube
