In today’s video we will be discussing Menopause and exercise. At age 70, I can say that I’ve been through the fire (aka: hot flashes) and all the other challenges that menopause brings. But, exercise was the catalyst in helping the transition go more smoothly. I will be discussing the benefits of doing three specific exercises: (1) cardio (2) strength training & (3) resistance training. The aforementioned mentioned proved to be very helpful to me as I went through the Menopause Journey.

With cardio, if you are having issues with your knees, I recommend marching in place, swimming or walking as briskly as you possibly can. I remember when I was going through the change of life, the hot flashes were so intense that I thought they would never end. But by incorporating cardio, strength & resistance training into my fitness regimen, the symptoms were lessened and I was able to maintain a healthy body weight.

Going through Menopause is no walk in the park by any stretch of the imagination; but by putting up the “good fight,” and making the time for yourself to exercise, you will come out a WINNER.

Thank you so much for this amazing and motivating video.

Instead of lying in bed with a bowl of popcorn like I was going to do, I indulged in cardio, weightlifting and resistance exercises for fifteen minutes. Now I question why I craved that popcorn in the first place.

I can attest to what you are sharing... I DO feel better in my 50's than in my 30's and 40's! I only have trouble with emotions once a month, but I know it's better than it would be if I wasn't exercising.

"Let's show the body whose the boss"... I love it!

02:36 🙌🏻 I love this Pauline!!! Are many of these clients that feel better in their 50s than in their 20 & 30s also going through menopause naturally without hormone replacement therapy? That is SO amazing and encouraging if so!!

I’ve been of the mindset that I want to go through it naturally, but recently I started questioning that and thought, “I need to see what Pauline says!”

Always great points my sweetheart Pauline and so wisely said.strengrh training is the key to maintain strong and healthy bones to prevent breaking bones as we age.I would suggest yoga for balance .I am 59 late 40s started strength training and menopause was a peace of cake for me. 5 day a week I do strength Traiining and I always try to do yoga once a week in order to work on my balance.it works for me..Have a lovely day my dearest Pauline❤❤

@Ageless Fitness Lifestyle, you are an inspiration and beloved! I finally "punched fear in the face" by learning how to swim and am loving it. I also do Aqua aerobics which is fantastic for the body---and a person is virtually "weightless" in the water, easy on the joints, and so effective. I do the aerobics first (including weight lifting with hand buoys) for 3 sets then swim right after for a few laps, endorphins be kicking afterward😊!!! Thank you for this video.
