The flooding in both Tennessee and North Carolina has been catastrophic with many lives lost as the remnants of Helene slowly dies out. Some of the videos circulating around YouTube are utterly heartbreaking. We should never underestimate the utter havoc these tropical systems can bring so far away from the coastline.
