We shoot a feature for about 10-15 000.
Borrowed or stoled every location.
Money went to food, transportation and some minor set decoration.
We shot it in 20 days but most stuff was shot whitin 12 of those days and i'll say about 70% was shoot in the first 6 days.

It's possible if you have a good idea & decent planning.

Recently discovered your channel. Liked and subbed, crazy helpful stuff. Even if you have a ton of money it's important to be smart with it, in life and film. A few examples (all adjusted for inflation)

El Mariachi: 16k
The Room: 10.2M
Blair Witch Project: 113K

Rodriguez' stretched his resources and basically acted as a one-man crew and edited Mariachi himself and made a film that looked like it could have a 1M+ budget. Wiseau did...well, look it up. Script, acting, all that aside, he did a lot of dumb stuff to balloon the budget like simutaneously shooting film and digital. Haha, what a legend. Perhaps someone can enlighten me because I have no idea why Blair Witch was so expensive. My theory is it was part of a money laundering scheme, lol.

Why aren't filmmakers advocating to the various guilds to have programs that would support up and coming filmmakers for those $10K and $100K budgets? Wouldn't working with the guilds make things easier in some respects and eventually make it easier to sell because the film was made by professionals or up and comers?

If i make a 10k film and i am the director and also raising money i wont pay myself. But what if when i do a 100k feature film and i pay my crew. Do i pay myself and how much in relation to other crew members? Or is it just like that i wont get any money for the shoot if i try to produce my own movie on a ultra low budget?
