Amen on the print size of directions on garden products! So many of us are beyond the mid 40s when your eyes go through "the change"! When I was a younger woman, and could see that small print, I didn't garden as much. LOL!

I’m so glad you thought of the pollinators! I try to stay pesticide and herbicide free!

Linda, wow, you addressed all our pest concerns. Thanks so much! Pests are quite an issue in mid-Georgia, especially late summer. P.S. I think Stewart really does want to get on camera.. I saw what I think is his finger on the right of the screen early in the video. 😜

Good information. Bud worms love petunias too. I so very much agree with your opinion of those annoying fold out labels. They're almost useless. My goodness this video was packed with ads!

This is great info! Thank you for this video! I hate to use pesticides and only do it when I am overrun with them.

I use pure cold pressed pure neem mixed according to directions. Many products labeled as neem contain other ingredients that harm bees and the refined oil in them is missing a key component. You can use pure neem on houseplants because it is non toxic.

should we also wait until pollenators go to bed for the evening. . in other words timing. . .before we spray? had issue with japanese beetles on roses this year. not fun.

I worked in Lowe's garden center one summer, a girl who worked for a research place was looking for diatomaceous earth, as it worked the best, she planned to put around her house, told me it also kills fleas. I bought some but have yet to use it =^/

My nemesis is moles/voles/gophers and have tried "old wives tales" versions, almost everything on the market and nothing has worked. They are viscous and destructive critters. Taking out the roots of rose bushes, shrubs, bulbs. Would love to eliminate them from my garden.

What about spiders? We have black widows, large garden and aggressive house spiders that freak me out! Makes me leery of ever reaching into a shrub or digging around in foliage.

I have treated my purslane, plumeria and now my bougainvillea MULTIPLE times all summer with neem oil for aphids & mealy bugs and I cannot seem to get rid of them! I don't want to just spray them off with water hose I want them gone! Anything else besides neem oil and insecticidal soap work??
