All grading companies should be required to sent the reason for the grade with the card. It’s just wild someone could be upset that day and be a garbage individual who takes it out on a PAYING customer. It’s wrong man.

I Beckett 9 amounts to a PSA 10. There is a reason Beckett 10’s and black labels get premium prices on the market.

Honestly this makes me question card grading as a whole more than just Beckett. It just goes to show that the grade is subjective to the individual grading more than the standards of the company and community.

I’m gonna keep it 💯 here. No offense to “Bill” but these were graded so poorly. These are straight from the pack, into a sleeve and sent in. The centering isn’t bad from what I’m seeing and unless the corners or edges are trash, there’s no reason for that many 7’s and 8’s LET ALONE 6’s

These people are paid to provide a service and we know people are grading out of jealousy or taking their day out on customers. It’s disgusting man lol

You got 6s from pack pulled cards. 6 means there is chipping, notching, stains, fuzzy corners, etc. It is INSANE to get a 6 on a carefully packed card. A 6 is typically like...a kid put them in their pocket to bring them to school for trade before sleeving and top loading them.

After watching this I can confidently say I’m never grading my cards with Beckett.

CGC once gave me an "inked" mark on the back. I looked all over the card and I found a weird light/dark ink blur, but I know for a fact it wasn't inked because it was pulled straight from a pack. I feel like these graders sometimes don't account for factory ink errors. To be fair I do respect and like CGC grading, but every business has Quality control/employee aspects that could result in failures.

Moral of the story: put a note in asking for the grader to not be Bill xD

This is why I’m starting to trust other grading companies like AGS that’s use machines and software to grade their cards and are transparent with their customers About their process

I thought sixteen months was bad for a quarterly special from PSA at 8$ a slab. You sent a submission off almost two years ago and got it back and didn't even know what it was. At least PSA sends an email saying hey your cards are done. That was a rough submission and it's nice to see that BGS makes stuff up to not grade cards as well because of the overwhelming backlog that is the current status of card grading.

I'd be interested in seeing some of these cards cracked and submitted to CGC for a direct comparison. I often see people say CGC is the toughest, but they seem much more fair.

Place the “inked/color” color cards in between a few cards. And look at the edges of the card. I think thats where they are indicating ink. You may see it there.

We have some cards that were pulled or purchased and looking at them we thought we might have a good chance at a Beckett 10 (Under light and magnifying glass, even measuring the centring on the cards). After seeing this we will definitely not be sending and will stick to PSA. It just makes NO sense if we wanted to sell the cards later on and make some income from it.

Rev, this is absolutely crazy! Can you have these re-graded with PSA? Even looking from here they don't look like 7's and 8's.. unbelievable.
