Bangladesh Protests: Internet Blackout Continues following clashe

Bangladesh remains without internet for a fifth day as the government enforces strict measures following violent protests over a controversial government job quota system. The Supreme Court has ordered the quota to be reduced, leading to a calmer situation. Universities are closed, a curfew is in place, and military personnel patrol the streets. Protests have challenged Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's government, with demands for a merit-based job allocation system. The opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party supports the protests and plans further demonstrations.
