Do yourself a real favor, and buy a few real pineapples, and let them get nice and ripe first. Next, cut up the pineapple in chunks; put the pineapple chunks in the freezer overnight, in a large ziplock bag, the next day, do all the other steps! My wife and I love to always use pineapples we let ripen, because the frozen pineapple and the canned pineapple, are never at the peak ripeness or flavor! Trust me, ripening the pineapple yourself is on another level!! You’ll never want to go back to the store bought, frozen, or canned pineapple again!! Lastly, my wife and I try to always have 2-4 whole ripened pineapples cut up in chunks, bagged, and frozen, so we are ready for our treats when we want one!❤
