Holbein Artists' Colored Pencils - Design Tone Set

Holbein Artists' Colored Pencils Design Tone Set has an additional variety of colorful pencils for colored pencil drawings. They can be used on any brand and type of paper. Bristol vellum has a smooth surface and is easy for blending colors.

A drawing demonstration using the Holbein Artists' Colored Pencils on 140# watercolor paper and then blending with Holbein MELTZ Color Pencil Blender is presented and shows the results similar to watercolor. The water soluble MELTZ blends easily with watercolor paint and mixtures. Holbein MELTZ can be used on any kind of paper along with the Colored Pencils.

Another example is presented using the Design Tone Set in a Still Life drawing with a good demonstration of how to mix a brown color from the colorr set.

The Third Set of Holbein Artists' Colored Pencils, the Design Tones, is described along with drawings of a landscape and a still life using all the colors. I used the MELTZ Colored Pencil Blender on the landscape drawing, but used the layering technique to add the color and brilliance to the still life drawing. How to mix a brown color from the Design Tone Set is discussed in the video. I really like the way the pencils blend and have a smooth feeling as they mark on the paper.
