Gregor shows you how to get everything connected, set up, and running so you can make music in Studio One. No matter how large your project is, you can always record instantaneously with no latency at all. Gregor focuses on dropout protection, which is a setting that helps you find the best possible latency setting for a recording situation.

Once again....spending 5 or 6 minutes with Gregor is like eating 426 hot dogs in the same amount of time, there is just so much stuff to gulp down. I pause the video and go in and start screwing around with this stuff and learn. This video explained more about the processing than I have ever heard before. Thank You. I still use the old VSL software though and also a mixer sometimes, this was very informative.

Hello! Thank you so much for making this helpful video. It really means a lot. I have used Studio One since the 3rd version and I love it. Now I am making Studio One 5 Professional Tutorials in Swedish for my fellow people here in Sweden. It is so much fun. Have a blessed day! Best regards / JP

This video is perfect! Solved the exact issue I was having. In haste of just wanting to record. I bypassed looking into the processing tab.

Awesome Video! I don't know why I never noticed this video before I love Studio One but never used it much because of the latency that was making it impossible to record anything in time. I thought it was my USB Midi Keyboard, but using a different USB Keyboard make no difference at all the Latency issue made it impossible to use Studio One. Once again fantastic Video, thank you!

Didn’t realize that the green Z had to be activated to put the audio tracks in to low latency mode. Bass tracking problems solved ✌️ thank you

It’s a lot to take in, some of the new features I don’t think I’ll ever use. Pertaining to the audio setting I change my settings depending on if I’m playing back, recording vst or direct in with guitars/mike.

It's difficult to see where you're cursor/pointer is going. Can you enhance your pointer with a yellow aura like some tutorials do, to make it easier to follow your movements?

I might not be qualified to make this statement, but anyway, great explanation on the latency recommendations!

Just getting started in Studio One 4 purchased a few days ago. I don't see the 'Z' on the instrument panel in the mixer, at least not with the House/Techno template I'm looking at. Also, some of the other templates don't even show an instruments panel in the mixer.
I must be missing something.

Too bad, seems S1 is strictly for musicians and composers, not for those who routinely just need to edit recordings of music and dialogue. Sure would have loved to consider it for use with RX 7. But, sayonara. That said, it's refreshing to find a tutorial that is so well filmed, thought-out, and organized! Toll gemacht, Gregor!

Learning lots from your video. thank you. The green Z does not appear at the instrument rack on mix- any ideas on how I can find it or bring it up. the drop out is set to medium. I dont' have any tracks yet...just trying to learn the program.

I don't understand. Do I need to change input to 64 samples or not? Also, should I have it on medium all the time? I'm using a new Audient Sono interface and Windows with i7 processor
