It has been pointed out to me that I did not wire the tracker correctly and this creates a fire risk. This is due to a lack of a fuse at the battery end. There is a fuse at the tracker end, but there is a risk of a short occurring from wire fraying or chaffing from the tracker fuse to the battery end. If you are unsure please get it installed by a professional.

This tracker is GSM capable (also referred to as 2G or GPRS) and only works with a GSM network. GSM networks are being discontinued in some countries and by some networks. Please check that your sim card is still GSM capable and you still have GSM coverage in your area...Don’t hesitate to ask me if you are unsure about what this all means.

Hey Asama, im a kiwi, i just receive this unit lastweek. I put a vodafone sim in it, send the text an the location it brings up in on the other side of the world, i did u have to setup the APN

you don't have to wire this directly to the battery, in fact its best you don't. Thats the first place the thief will look. They will just simple disconnect the battery until they find the tracker.And the second place is the OBD socket. This can be wired anywhere its signal is not obstructed by metal. It can be wired to wherever you can get a 12v power source and a ground from. Use your imagination and remember thieves are stupid, its in the job discription.

What is the drain on the battery being that it is connected 24/7 directly to the battery?

It's the cheapest of them all, 9v to 36v.. no geo-fencing, or speed lock... Just simple tracking based on GSM network. Better to use with a relay to stop draining battery.

Ive been using this tracker for about 9months now. Works fine. Just about to get another one online, and there is a description saying after a year, customer needs to pay platform fee to keep using the gps. Any comments?
