As a Gault Energy customer, you know that we are here for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for all of your generator needs. In the event that you have a power outage at your home and your air-cooled generator does not automatically run, it is important to know how to clear a fault in order to start your generator.

1. First, locate the generator on the property
2. Once at the generator, unlock and lift the top cover of the unit. There are two locks located on each end of the cover
3. Next, find the Manual/Auto/Off generator control located on the right hand side of the unit and select OFF to turn the generator off.
4. Press ENTER on the key pad to clear the fault code
5. Next, select Auto on the control panel, the generator should start within 10 seconds
6. If the generator does not start in 10 seconds, you may have to start the generator manually
7. To start the generator manually, select Manual on the generator control
8. When power is restored to your home, return to the generator and select Auto on the generator control to restore it to automatic mode

We hope that you found this video informative and helpful. On behalf of the entire Gault Energy team, we thank you for your continued loyalty!

*100% best **Generater.Systems** I have used. A test for hurricane prep here in Louisiana: three AC units, 5000, 5000 & 8000, 3 fridges, 2 device power setups, 4 flat screens....AND I had 40% of the power meter to spare.*

I believe I have discovered an intermittent bug in the Guardian controller. If you have run the generator using a Manual start, for any reason - cleared a fault code and want to test it, or you have been away for a couple weeks, etc.; when you want to end the test run AVOID USING THE STOP BUTTON. Instead, press the AUTO button. If there is no backup power demand at this time, the generator will shut itself off and be ready to start on the next start command, whether it be from the controller (i.e. a power outage has occurred) or with a manual start command. I have found that using the STOP button can result in the next start command failing with a "Loss of RPM Sense" code. This only crops up about once in twenty start cycles, after being shut down each time using the STOP button (plus Enter, unplugging the 7.5 Amp fuse and putting it back in, etc.). I did not write the firmware in the controller's micro processor, but it seems like going from running on Manual to pushing AUTO, lets the controller go through a shut down routine that leaves the RPM Sensor register in a positive/confirmed state, and while cranking the engine the next time, the controller will be in a zero fault status. However, by shutting down the generator using the STOP button, intermittently the controller will see a Loss of RPM fault status, and interrupt the starting process. I could be wrong, but going from running on Manual to pressing the AUTO button, has eliminated starting problems on my Generac Guardian backup generator.

It’d be nice if manual running capability was added to Mobilelink. We have periods of unstable power when I’d rather just cut over to the generator for a while.

I want to start up my Generac for the 1st time - do I need to first cut off the main power?

I need to set up my generator but have no WiFi or power. I want to run on manual full time when I use it. I hear there is a way to have it wire to your house to start it and shut it off without going outside. Could really use some help. Thank you. Also my battery runs down while it’s running. This is a brand new machine

Would be nice to have this panel located somewhere A WIRED, remote panel is really what is missing.

This method did nothing for me, my generator still shows a red light and won't stay on auto.

Not a good teacher. Someone commenting on a football match will not be as fast as you are.You didn't carry the audience along. Thanks
