I am full keto and have been for 2+ yrs. I am a petite 46yr old female, eat well over 2000 calories per day mostly butter and MCT oil, and have become absolutely shredded ( sub 10% body fat). The beauty in it is never being hungry, never crashing, having energy and clarity from am to pm. I highly recommend... I gained muscle at this age and lost fat.

How to make reverse diet after keto? Slowly adding carbs and cutting fat with the same caloric intake?

One more thing - if you go <10%BF on "normal" diet (low fat), your hormones (i.e. TS) will start to suffer. Keeping high fat can help to keep them up.

my neurologist put me on keto to help with my epilepsy (incresed brain function can ack almost a a "reset" button, to help with seizures . Its hard if u love carbs, but once u get the hang of it, its great.I haven't lost any performance, I feel great and I have more energy. I have a very physical job, but I dont fall asleep like I used to when I get home. Its the same for the gym. I used to just pass out after a workout, now I dont! I have also lost visibly high levels fat

10, 000 👍👍👍👍👍 for being so honest in regard keto diet and building muscle!! Is one of the few times I heard the true 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 The keto diet is definitely boosting my mental clarity and brain power which I want to keep experiencing for sure. However, the is no doubt that strength and physical performance is depleted! A bunch of idiots keep saying that you can build tones of muscle under a keto diet ... I actually lost a lot of lean mass very quickly under this diet and I also got injured at the gym, which has never happened before (approximately 17 years of gym and sports) 😏😏

I’m trying to reach the keto adaptation to see if this is gonna change afterwards, otherwise I am pretty sure we do have to keto cycling in order to at least MAINTAIN muscle

I tried it for a week. After a week I had so much energy I was sleeping 1 to 2 hours a night. I had to stop. That's with a high intensity job and going to the gym 5 days a week

Hey Ben, For me im very carb sensitive. Keto works very well for me however, i find if i do take in carbs i can only eat 100 - 150g of carbs or i will gain fat uncontrollably( with a max caloric intake of 1800). i find on Keto, i can eat in excess of 2000 calories of which 150g is fat and still lose weight. do you think this is due to an insulin issue with my body ?

I wouldn't call eating ketogenic easier when travelling. (Hidden) carbs are everywhere man.

Hmm, the part at the end where you say that you are less effective at utilizing carbohydrates the longer you are on the ketogenic diet is contrary to what i have heard and read. On Thomas Delauer's channel there is a video about how you actually can become metabolically flexible, and utilize carbs more effectively, and go back into ketosis a lot sooner because you are generally more fat adapted. Not only that but you are also no longer insulin resistant. There is some interesting research on the carb refuel cyclical keto diet. Seems like a good idea for putting on muscle without getting fat, and retaining the benefits of being in ketosis.
